Sydney's Local Architectural Design Specialists
Who We Are
Planshop is Sydney’s trusted building design and architectural drafting practice. For over 35 years, we’ve worked with families, builders, and developers to create homes and commercial spaces across Sydney’s diverse neighbourhoods.
We’re a mutual team of dedicated professionals, specialised in local neighbourhoods across NSW. Our strength lies in combining technical precision with a personal approach, ensuring every project is thoughtful, accessible, and built to last.
Our Story
Planshop began in 1985 with a simple belief: good design should be clear, practical, and built around real life. Over the years, that principle has shaped a practice trusted by clients across Sydney’s diverse neighbourhoods.
What started as a small studio has grown into a long-standing local team with experience across residential design, planning, and project delivery. While the work has evolved, the focus has stayed the same: deliver outcomes that are thoughtful, reliable, and tailored to each client.

We know that renovating or building a new home can feel challenging.
Common concerns include:

Costs exceeding your budget

-
Council approvals
That’s why we focus on clarity. You’ll always know:
-
Where your project stands
-
What happens next
-

-
When will it be completed

Where we work
Our projects span Sydney's Inner West, City, Eastern Suburbs, South Sydney, Northern Beaches and Lower North Shore. We also take on commissions beyond Sydney, serving communities across NSW.

Looking ahead
Architecture should grow with the communities it serves. Planshop is developing a clear, easy-to-use guide to house types across Sydney and NSW, helping clients understand how different neighbourhoods look, feel, and function.
Interactive visuals including careful 3D diagrams, live digital models and concise video walk-throughs will make each project easier to read and follow, so the design process feels open and straightforward.
By quietly refining our tools and methods, we remain a dependable practice today and a thoughtful, future-ready partner for tomorrow
